One Inch Stair-Step Cracks in Foundation Wall
This foundation wall was sinking severely into the soil, likely due to soil erosion. The soil weakens because it's poorly compacted, too wet, or too dry, and over time, the structure begins to sink, causing the wall to crack.
Helical Piers Installation
Helical piers are a fantastic option for lifting or stabilizing foundation walls. We "screw" the piers into the ground until we find the required depth and resistance. Once secured, the weight is transferred to the piers. Installation is quick, it won't crack under pressure, the galvanized system won't rust, and it's suitable for light and heavy loads.
Lifted and Sealed Cracks
The building is lifted back into its original place with the helical piers within a day and with minimal disruption. We also sealed cracks as an added benefit for this customer.
