Soaked Basement Carpet from Water Intrusion
Even the smallest amount of water can cause mold, rot, and musty odors in your home that lead to health issues! Plus, this homeowner stored many belongings in their basement that could be damaged.
Bowing Walls Creating Gaps
It looks as though temporary repairs had been made to the basement foundation walls, but they weren't fully solving the problem. It was our job to permanently stabilize the foundation, getting rid of the gaps and shifting the weight away from the weakened beams.
Cracked Foundation Walls
Cracked foundation walls are a symptom of foundation settlement, likely due to soil erosion. There isn't much you can do to prevent soil erosion, but you can absolutely find a long-term solution to stabilize your home.
Basement with Moisture and Foundation Cracks
This dark, musty basement with chipping walls was overdue for some TLC. To avoid complete structural failure, we strengthened foundation walls and waterproofed the basement.
SuperSump Pump
This isn't an ordinary sump pump. This is a sump pump with an airtight lid to prevent water from evaporating into the basement, a floor drain to drain any water that reaches it away, and a pump alarm in case of failure.
CleanSpace Vapor Barrier
CleanSpace is a heavy-duty plastic liner designed for basements, helping to keep the basement dry and prevent mold growth. It also brightens up the space.
PowerBrace System
In addition to waterproofing CleanSpace, the sump pump, and proper drainage, we installed the PowerBrace System. These steel beams actually straighten the walls over time and permanently support the foundation.
EverBrace Wall Restoration System
For added support, we installed the EverBrace Wall Restoration System. Once foundation walls start bowing and show signs of failure, EverBrace is capable of providing homes with steel panel reinforcement and foam injections, offloading the weight from the failing wall.
