Moldy Crawl Space from Standing Water
Mold had begun to cover the wooden walls of the crawl space. Since mold loves organic materials, even slight moisture can lead to growth, leading to nasty odors and potential health problems if not addressed.
Water Intrusion Through Wall Gaps
The gaps located beneath the wooden panels of the crawl space were allowing water to intrude. One of our first steps was to install proper drainage and seal off entry points like these gaps to prevent water from entering the crawl space.
Drainage Matting and SilverGlo
As part of the CleanSpace encapsulation system, we installed drainage matting beneath the liner to allow water to flow freely to a drainage system or sump pump and away from the home. We also added SilverGlo, a highly energy-efficient insulation and wall panel, to keep the walls warm and dry. Unlike fiberglass, SilverGlo won't absorb moisture and helps prevents mold growth.
Finished Encapsulation with New Main Beam
The improvement with the CleanSpace encapsulation is like night and day. CleanSpace is a reliable moisture barrier that prevents water from entering the space and protects it from mold and humidity. It's extremely durable, long-lasting, and energy-efficient, designed for dependable performance rather than requiring you to pick up little projects every year.
SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier
Possibly the most powerful dehumidifier on the market, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier removes up to 100 pints of water from the air a day while using less energy than a traditional dehumidifier. It includes built-in air filtration that removes mold spores, dust, and other allergens so you can truly breathe in clean air.
