SmartJack Installation with Supplemental Steel Beam
To stabilize the floor structure, we added SmartJacks and a supplemental steel beam. This beam would further reinforce the damaged joists and restore level floors throughout the living room. No more tripping!
Damp Crawl Space Area
During the inspection, we also found water seepage and moisture, both of which can contribute to the deterioration of structural elements, like floor joists, over time.
SmartJack with Footing
A SmartJack with Engineered Footing was installed to give permanent stabilization to the unlevel floors above. The footing can help distribute the weight more evenly and prevent settlement.
Original Crawl Space
Upon inspection, the crawl space was dirty and showed signs of damaged floor joists, which contributed to the uneven floors above.
