The Alford crew installed drainage matting, drainage, and structural reinforcement to allow any intruding water to flow away from the foundation. With an improved drainage system, the home is much better equipped to handle any water incidents that may come its way!

Dirty Crawl Space

Upon inspection, we found the crawl space in rough shape. It was dirty, dark, and had signs of moisture throughout, which can contribute to foundation problems, wood rot, and even health problems.

Weakened Support System

We also found the wooden supports in a weakened state, likely due to moisture. This needed addressed ASAP so the home could be structurally sound.

Unstable Foundation

There were clear signs of foundation settlement and movement. To address it, we needed to find the best repair solutions to permanently stabilize the floor and walls.

We installed SmartJacks and a new SmartJacks main beam to lift and permanently stabilize the floors above.

Drainage Matting for Water Flow

We installed drainage matting to allow any intruding water to flow through to the drainage, out and away from the home. This would protect the home from moisture, and particularly the foundation.

Exterior Yard Drainage

We installed proper drainage on the exterior with a French Drain. This drain would intercept groundwater before it ever had the chance to reach the home or foundation. It can also reduce hydrostatic pressure against the foundation wall, which can lead to settlement.
