The Alford crew installed a complete crawl space encapsulation with new drainage, a CleanSpace vapor barrier, and a powerful sump pump system, and removed the old insulation! Falling, Failing Insulation

As moisture continued to build and become problematic in this crawl space, it also ruined the insulation. We removed the old fiberglass insulation and replaced it with our waterproof SilverGlo wall insulation!

Condensation on the air ducts showed us that excess moisture had been a problem for a while. This may occur alongside mold, mildew smells, and poor air quality.

Drainage Matting Layer

Beneath the vapor barrier, we installed drainage matting, allowing water seepage to flow freely to the drainage system.

A crawl space encapsulation wouldn't be complete without the CleanSpace vapor barrier for total moisture protection. The first layer we install is the mold-proof SilverGlo insulation, which replaces the fiberglass insulation in the joists.

SmartSump for Crawl Spaces

The SmartSump pump system is where all the water is collected through the new drainage is removed from the crawl space, out and away from the foundation. This reliable system includes a WaterWatch alarm that sounds in case there is a plumbing leak!

We placed a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to extract moisture from the air at all times. This extremely efficient filtration system keeps the home below 55% relative humidity.

Exterior Discharge with IceGuard and Lawnscape Outlet

After the water is collected in the sump pump, it exits through the exterior discharge line and ends at the LawnScape Outlet, designed to prevent clogging. We also added an IceGuard to prevent flooding in the crawl space in case the line freezes in cold months.
