Brick Foundation Cracks
This homeowner may have seen vertical cracking in the brick foundation due to soil settlement. Over time, the soil shifts or compresses and can't properly support the home. Water intrusion can also contribute to the problem.
Horizontal Brick Cracks
When horizontal cracks appear, it's an indication that the problem is worsening. The foundation may be moving inward, leading to bowing and active structural movement.
Helical Pier Installation
We installed helical piers to permanently stabilize and support the foundation walls. These steel piers are mechanically driven deep into stable soil that can better support the structure of the home. Inside the home, we installed the PowerBrace system, which can potentially straighten the bowing walls in the basement.
Stablize and Support Foundation Walls
These helical piers were installed along a settling section of the foundation to permanently stabilize and protect it against future settlement.
Filled Concrete for Helical Piers
Once completed, we backfilled and restored the installation area with concrete, leaving the home's exterior in neat condition before we left.
