Alford Cares Partnering with Branches Domestic Violence Shelter
We are so excited to announce that our Alford Cares program is partnering with Branches Domestic Violence Shelter to complete a pro bono basement waterproofing project for one of their shelters! This installation will provide a clean, healthy, and safe space for victims and children who have left their homes due to domestic violence.
Branches Domestic Violence Shelter is the only emergency shelter and comprehensive service provider for survivors of domestic violence in our region and has been in operation since 1980. Last year alone, their advocates served 1,344 neighbors who felt unsafe at home and answered 6,572 calls to their 24/7 emergency hotline.
Sara Blevins O'Toole, Director of Development, says, "Every act of support—like the generous donation of time and work from Alford Cares—helps us provide safety, stability, and hope to those facing unimaginable challenges."
If you or someone you know needs assistance, please call their 24/7 crisis line at 1-844-675-6343. To donate or get involved, visit their website at branchesdvs.org.
